Cybersecurity in Focus: SandGrain Connects with Industry Leaders in Singapore
Building global collaborations to secure connected systems and electronic supply chains.
Singapore is a key gateway for deep-tech innovation, and SandGrain’s participation in the Dutch-Singapore Deep-Tech Expansion Program has opened new business opportunities. During SDTA’s immersion week (24-28 February), we engaged with key industry players, highlighting the growing demand for cybersecurity and anti-counterfeiting solutions in the electronics supply chain. As part of its visit, SandGrain had the opportunity to visit the Dutch Embassy in Singapore, further strengthening the connection between the Netherlands and Singapore.
Strategic Industry Engagements
During the immersion week, SandGrain held productive discussions with several global companies looking to enhance security in their products and supply chains. A leading Japanese electronic components manufacturer explored potential collaboration on securing the authenticity of its next-generation products. A globally operating company expressed strong interest in strengthening protection for its connected devices against cyber threats.
These were exploratory discussions, where decisions were made quickly, and there was genuine interest from all parties. The fast-paced and dynamic nature of the meetings demonstrated the region’s commitment to innovation and security.
Accelerating Expansion Through HighTechXL & SDTA
The Dutch-Singapore Deep-Tech Expansion Program, led by HighTechXL and Singapore Deep Tech Alliance (SDTA), is designed to support deep-tech startups in expanding into Southeast Asia and Europe. HighTechXL, based in the Netherlands, accelerates the growth of high-tech ventures, while SDTA provides an innovation platform and venture-building support for international deep-tech companies entering the Singaporean and Southeast Asian markets. Backed by Enterprise Singapore and key industry partners, SDTA offers access to an extensive network of corporates, venture capitalists, and research institutions to facilitate market entry and business growth.
Next Steps: Driving Innovation and Cybersecurity in Electronics
Following successful meetings, NDAs have been signed, setting the stage for further technical and business discussions. SandGrain’s hybrid security approach, which combines a globally unique hardware ID with a secure cloud platform, enables seamless integration into electronic components. This solution ensures authentication, anti-counterfeiting, and cybersecurity from production to deployment, addressing critical security challenges faced by manufacturers, distributors, and enterprise computing providers.
Given the strong momentum, SandGrain plans to return to Singapore in mid-2025 to continue discussions and strengthen partnerships. The genuine interest and rapid follow-ups from potential partners reinforce the region’s strong demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions.
Singapore’s deep-tech ecosystem, regulatory support, and access to Southeast Asian markets make it an potential base for SandGrain’s expansion. The strong interest from international partners confirms that cybersecurity and anti-counterfeiting solutions are becoming essential across industries. SandGrain looks forward to advancing these discussions and building a more secure, trusted future for connected systems worldwide.
